Day 1 Christchurch to Methven

Arrive in Christchurch, collect your rental car and head inland to the ski hub of Methven.

Driving time Christchurch to Methven 96km / 1.5 hours

Stay 3 nights in Methven.

*Option to stay in Christchurch tonight, to take a look around the Garden City.

Day 2 Methven

Day one of your 4-Day NZSki Pass includes:

• Full-Mountain Lift Pass at Mt Hutt

It’s time for a day of fun in the snow at Mt Hutt. Just a 35 minute drive from Methven Village, this ski field is renowned for its big snowfall. Great natural snow is captured in its south facing basin; combine that with 75 snow guns, and you are destined for some great sliding!

**Your 4-day Coronet Peak and Remarkables ski pass is valid for Mt. Hutt, Coronet Peak, and The Remarkables, and your ski days do NOT have to be consecutive. The schedule outlined here is just an example of how you can plan your stay.**

Day 3 Methven

Day two of your 4-Day NZSki Pass includes:

• Full-Mountain Lift Pass at Mt Hutt

Fire up those ski legs — it’s time to show off those new skills or sip your coffee while admiring the views from the top of Mt Hutt.

Day 4 Wanaka

Driving time Methven to Wanaka 357 km /4.5 hours

Depart Methven as you travel inland through the Mackenzie Basin toward Lake Tekapo, with its breathtaking turquoise lake and backdrop of staggering peaks.  The Lindis Pass links the Mackenzie Basin to Central Otago. You will be spellbound as you head past Lake Pukaki and over Lindis Pass before arriving in Wanaka.

Here you will find majestic views, a friendly vibe, and two of New Zealand’s top ski fields: Treble Cone and Cardrona!

Indulge in the rest and recovery options Wanaka offers. Sample a coffee and cake overlooking the lake, visit Puzzling World or the National Toy and Transport Museum, or take a walk along any of the stunning tracks.

Day 5 Wanaka

Driving time Wanaka to Cardrona Alpine Resort 34 km / 45 minutes
Driving time Wanaka to Treble Cone 29 km / 40 minutes

Cardrona is a relaxed and friendly ski area that has been entertaining skiers and snowboarders for 35 years. Explore it all – wide open beginner trails, pristine groomers, fun free-ride terrain, and world class parks and pipes.

Treble Cone is the largest ski field in the Queenstown Lakes District, providing access to 550ha of rideable terrain. You’ll find something for all abilities. Covering a leg-burning 700m of vertical, Treble Cone is recognised for its long runs and uncrowded piste and off-piste trails.

**Your 2-Day Wanaka Ski Pass is valid for both Cardrona Alpine Resort and Treble Cone.**

Day 6 Wanaka

Day two of your 2-Day Wanaka Ski Pass includes:

• Full-Mountain Lift Pass at Cardrona Alpine Resort or Treble Cone

Test your skills at Cardrona Alpine Resort or Treble Cone today. If you would like to enjoy some lunch up the mountain this afternoon, both Cardrona and Treble Cone offer a range of cafés and restaurants that will keep your energy levels up!

In the evening you have the chance to catch a film at Cinema Paradiso, Wanaka’s quirky local theatre (hint: the homemade cookies and ice cream at half time are delicious).

Day 7 Queenstown

Driving time Wanaka to Queenstown 70 km / 1 hour

Drive over the Crown Range, where you’ll get a panoramic first view over Queenstown.

Explore Queenstown, or make the most of your time and experience one of Queenstown’s top activities. You can ask for recommendations, or cross something off your bucket list.

Day 8 Queenstown

Driving time Queenstown to Coronet Peak 16 km / 25 minutes 
Driving time Queenstown to The Remarkables 24 km / 45 minutes 

Day three of your 4-Day NZSki Pass includes:

It’s your choice! Enjoy a day at The Remarkables or Coronet Peak with your lift pass included!

Coronet Peak boasts spectacular roller coaster terrain, making it one of New Zealand’s most exciting ski destinations for snow lovers of any ability.

The Remarkables mountain range is a true alpine experience, offering terrain and facilities to suit everyone from beginners to experts. Snowboarders will find plenty to keep them entertained as well!

Day 9 Queenstown

Day four of your 4-Day NZSki Pass includes:

Relish in another day of excitement at The Remarkables or Coronet Peak.

After conquering the mountain, experience the nightlife with Après-ski at one of Queenstown’s vibrant bars or restaurants.

Day 10 Queenstown

Relax and recover today in beautiful Queenstown.  Enjoy a stroll around the boutique shops, or select any Queenstown activity and add it to your ski package, from scenic flights, bungy jumping, and skydiving to 4WD safaris and winery tours — the options are endless.

If you still have a few ski turns to make, you have the option to add an extra day to your NZ Ski Pass.

Day 11 Depart Queenstown

Drop off your rental car and depart Queenstown at your leisure.
