Earlybird & Pre-Season Specials

Book early enough, and you can take advantage of a range of special deals available throughout the months leading up to each winter season. These deals vary between the different Queenstown ski resorts and can change from year to year. However, a few deals to look out for are:

Price Freeze Promotions

Cardrona Alpine Resort typically offers a price freeze promotion on products booked before October 31st. This promotion allows you to book ski products for next winter at this winter’s rates, and covers most ski products.

Earlybird Specials

For any bookings made far enough in advance, Earlybird specials offer a significant discount on lift passes and rental equipment. However, these deals are only available for multi-day passes for certain numbers of days, so they can be more restrictive.

Pre-Season Specials

After the Earlybird specials expire, some Queenstown ski fields offer Pre-Season specials at a slightly higher rate than Earlybird specials. As with Earlybird deals, these only apply to certain lift passes and rental equipment.

In conclusion, if you book before the start of June, you can typically buy certain ski products at discounted rates.

September Ski Deals

For September skiing, the Queenstown ski fields offer heavily discounted spring ski passes. Many multi-day September lift passes include free days of skiing, and the discounts apply for rental equipment as well.

Unlike other ski products, it doesn’t necessarily pay to book your September ski holiday in advance. Some ski fields don’t announce their September ski deals until midway through winter, so it’s worth waiting until these are available.

Ski Pass Discounts and the Queenstown Superpass

Typically the ski pass valid at Coronet Peak and The Remarkables is called the Queenstown Superpass. Unused ski days on the Queenstown Superpass can be redeemed for off-mountain credit.

However, any of the above discounted passes are separate from the Queenstown Superpass. In other words, you CANNOT redeem your discounted ski pass for off-mountain credit at participating retailers.
