Collect your rental car from Queenstown Airport before driving over the stunning Crown Range along New Zealand’s highest state highway. Mountains frame the road, snow dusting their slopes, and there are photo stops aplenty.
When you arrive in the vibrant, laid-back ski town of Wanaka, check in to your accommodation and get settled in. You can venture downtown to explore the stunning lakeside town, or relax in your accommodation while gearing up for your ski holiday adventures.

Cardrona is a relaxed and friendly ski area that has been entertaining skiers and snowboarders for 35 years. Explore it all – wide open beginner trails, pristine groomers, fun free-ride terrain, and world class parks and pipes.
Treble Cone is the largest ski field in the Queenstown Lakes District, providing access to 550ha of rideable terrain. You’ll find something for all abilities. Covering a leg-burning 700m of vertical, Treble Cone is recognised for its long runs and uncrowded piste and off-piste trails.

**Your 10-Day Wanaka ski pass is valid for both Cardrona Alpine Resort and Treble Cone. Your ski days do NOT have to be consecutive. The schedule outlined here is just an example of how you can plan your stay.**

Test your skills at Cardrona Alpine Resort or Treble Cone today. If you would like to enjoy some lunch up the mountain this afternoon, both Cardrona and Treble Cone offer a range of cafés and restaurants that will keep your energy levels up!

In the evening, while you’re resting those legs, you might like to catch a movie at Wanaka’s famous local theatre, Cinema Paradiso (hint: the homemade cookies and ice cream at half time are delicious).

Really explore the mountain today, ticking off trails as you venture around your favourite runs.
Recover and rejuvenate!
On your day off, indulge in the rest and recovery options Wanaka offers. Take a long, lazy lunch beside the lake, visit Puzzling World or the National Toy and Transport Museum, or take a walk along one of the stunning tracks. For a more sophisticated option, discover the taste of Central Otago at the Rippon Winery.

This afternoon you might like to go for a leisurely stroll along beautiful Lake Wanaka, make sure to get a photograph of the world-famous Wanaka Tree. Relax and unwind in your accommodation this evening.
Day eight of your 10-Day Wanaka Ski Pass includes:
Have an amazing experience at Cardrona or Treble Cone today. Have a break from the slopes at one of the cafés – pull up a picnic table, have a cold drink and a hot meal in the sun!
Enjoy a delicious meal in Wanaka this evening. From exceptional fine dining, small elegant restaurants serving contemporary cuisine, through to casual eateries, there is plenty to choose from when it comes to dining out in Wanaka.
Day nine of your 10-Day Wanaka Ski Pass includes:
Make the most of your day at either Cardrona Alpine Resort or Treble Cone! The retail shop at both ski fields is open from 9.00 am until 4.00 pm daily, if you want to buy a souvenir to remember your visit to the mountains.
Day ten of your 10-Day Wanaka Ski Pass includes:
It is your last chance to push those ski legs a little harder! Enjoy your last day at Cardrona Alpine Resort or Treble Cone.
You might like to enjoy a drink after your final day on the snow this evening. From lakefront bars with incredible views, through to cosy venues with roaring open fires, classic Kiwi pubs or lounge bars serving award-winning cocktails you are definitely spoilt for choice.

Driving time Wanaka to Queenstown 70km / 1 hour
Spend the day exploring Queenstown. Any Queenstown activity can be added to your ski package to finish your holiday on a high. Suggestions include the Shotover Jet, night skiing at Coronet Peak, 4WD Safaris to Middle-Earth, skydiving, or bungy jumping.
To recharge, add lunch or dinner at Walter Peak Station or at the top of Skyline Gondola.
