Methven is on the western edge of the Canterbury Plains; this small town is the perfect place to say when enjoying a Mt Hutt Ski package. There is ski bus transport from Christchurch or Methven, or you can drive yourself up the mountain. Select from our range of packages including a Mt Hutt ski pass.
With wide open terrain, four freestyle terrain parks for all abilities, and 365 skiable hectares, there will never be a dull moment! Mt Hutt boasts an average snowfall of 4 metres, enticing skiers and snowboarders from all over the world to explore its superb off-piste terrain and wide groomed tracks.
Mount Hutt Restaurants
Mt Hutt offers two dining options. The Sky High Cafe is perfect for a quick bite to eat, offering coffee and hearty, wholesome meals to refuel you for an afternoon on the slopes. Huber’s Hut beckons you with a warm fire inside or a stunning deck to dine on; they provide delicious breakfasts, warm soups, pastas, and their famous Willi burger. Plus you’ll find coffee, hot chocolate, and mulled wine.
Mt Hutt Childcare & Lessons
Mt Hutt has a fully licensed Early Learning Centre catering for children aged 3 months to 5 years, which means you will be able to enjoy your time skiing knowing your children are in safe hands, with a family package deal. If you have older children, the Kea Club offers group ski lessons to kids aged 5 – 15 years.
Ski Hire
Skis, boots, poles, and snowboards are available for hire up the mountain, with FREE overnight storage for added convenience.
The Mt Hutt ‘Snoshop’ has a range of affordable skiing and snowboarding essentials for everyone; if you’re looking to add to your own ski-gear collection, you’ll want to schedule a bit of time to poke around in the shop.
