Before you choose from our Queenstown ski packages, you may have a few questions about what the experience will be like. Here are answers to some of our most frequently asked questions:
The two major ski fields near Queenstown are The Remarkables and Coronet Peak. However, you don’t need to choose one or the other. The Queenstown NZSki Pass covers both ski fields and all inclusions.
For instance, lesson packages, rental equipment, and lift passes are valid at both ski fields. You can take your rental equipment home for the evening if you plan to use it the next day and return it at either ski field, or you can drop it off when you leave and pick it back up when you return.
The only service not valid at both ski fields is childcare. The Remarkables and Coronet Peak each have different childcare services available.
We recommend trying each ski field so you can pick your favorite.
You should stay in downtown Queenstown. Neither ski resort offers on-mountain accommodation, and both are easily accessible from the town center.
If you are using mountain coach transport to reach the ski fields, we always book accommodation within walking distance of downtown so you can easily reach restaurants, bars, and shops. And if you have your own vehicle, you might prefer to stay in a quieter area just outside town.
However, it may take longer due to winter conditions on the roads.
